but let me rant, cuz dat's wha i do best:

If I listed all my positive characteristics, you'd think:
1) wow, what a cool girl
2) wow, what an ass
3) something else

If I listed all my negative characteristics, you'd think:
1) wow, i can relate
2) wow, she's fucked up
3) something else

So I won't list anything. Cuz i am both and i wouldn't exist if i wasn't.

My Interests

happiness, laughing, RFI (radio france internationale, NOT RFID, that is bad bad bad), little things (but not brown recluse spiders no way), snot rockets, cookies (eating them), edyookayshun, francais et France, reading, talking to my dog or to myself, jogging but only where there aren't many cars cuz it's "too much carbon monoxide for me to bear", outside (especially untouched outside, weeds and all natural no pesticides, incesticides or stupid hybrid teas), trees and plants, the new york times, npr, prairie home companion, driving long distances, watching foreign tv news online/reading about issues from other countries' perspectives (esp france and arabic countries), jiminny cricketters what else?

Music

p.j. harvey, african artists in general (don't know 'nuf to be able to describe what kinds i like), sleator-kinney, they might be giants, rem (favorite album hands down is Dead Letter Office), b-52s, a compilation of 4 discs i found called "Left of the Underground: Dispatches from the 80's Underground", faithless (some stuff), velvet underground, the smiths, morrissey, rage against the machine, wyclef (some stuff), phish (only when i feel like listening to 24 minute songs), patti smith, pete tong, bikini kill, sasha, public enemy, bob (marley), jimi, janis, elvis, beck, black eyed peas, steel pulse, rancid (generally only played now when i'm in an irritable mood), saian supa crew, bad religion, cake, l'ecole du micro d'argent, ben harper & the innocent criminals (i only have live from mars, but i really like it), did i mention the cure?, portishead, cibo matto, les nubians, john digweed, leonard cohen, midnight oil, pennywise (same thing as rancid though), the avett bros (just introduced, but i highly recommend for a punky blue-grass enjoyer), talking heads, funk music in general, depeche mode (some i love, some i really don't like), dead can dance, nirvana, pit baccardi, the waitresses (what little they made, oh, but how i love-introduced to them when i was 12 or 13), the song the eye of the tiger, and last but best of all, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, his requiem being my favorite piece of music eva.

Movies

sunset story, goonies, amandla, the constant gardener (although i've never been more depressed after a movie in my life), seven up (but haven't seen past when they're either 28 or 35 yrs), spellbound, the middle passage, fahrenheit 451

Television

thank the hand of the universe for getting me out of that addiction. only program i miss is the news hour with jim lehr.
